FROM CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO LE QUARTIER FRANCAIS VIA THE N1 HIGHWAY

1From the airport exit left onto the N2 highway towards Somerset West
Exit left to take the R300 which joins the N1 highway
Access the N1 highway towards Paarl
Take Exit 59 marked Wellington/Paarl
Turn right at the T-junction onto the R301 and proceed under the N1 highway
Continue on this road for about 16 kilometers
You will pass Drakenstein Prison, site of Nelson Mandela's release, on the right hand side
At the T-junction turn left onto the R45 towards Franschoek
Continue straight and head towards the Huguenot monument at the far end of the village
Turn right into Berg St. which is the last road on your right before the monument
Turn first right into Wilhelmina St, and you will see the gates of the auberge on your right

VIA STELLENBOSCH

From the aiport exit left to access the N2 highway towards Somerset West
Take Exit 33 (R310) towards Stellenbosch
At the T-junction turn right to continue on the R310 into Stellenbosch
Follow the Franschoek signs (R310) over the Helshoogte Pass and through the village of pniel
At the junction T-junction turn right (45) towards Franschoek and continue for about 17 km
Head towards the Huguenot monument at the far end of the village
Turn right into Berg St. which is the last road on your right before the monument
Turn first right into Wilhelmina St, and you will see the gates of the auberge on your right

FROM GARDEN ROUTE TO LE QUARTIER FRANCAIS QUICK ROUTE

Take the N2 towards Cape Town, passing Mossel Bay, Riversdale, Swellendam and Caledon
Shortly after Caledon exit right (R43) toward Villiersdorp
At the T-junction turn left and continue for about seven kilometers
Turn right onto the R45 which will take you to Franschhoek via the Franschhoek pass
Turn right at the T-junction onto the R301 and proceed under the N1 highway

FOR THOSE WANTING TO TRAVEL A ROAD LESS TRAVELLED

Take the N2 towards Cape Town
Just before Swellendam turn right towards Barrydale (324) via the Tredouw Pass
At the T-junction turn left towards Montagu (R62)
Proceed through the villages of Ashton and Robertson until you reach Worcester
From Worcester take the R43 towards Villiersdorp
11 Kilometers beyond villiersdorp turn right onto the R45 which will take you to Franschhoek via the Franschhoek Pass
